Gaza City — In a move that has left international observers both bewildered and bemused, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans today to construct a luxury golf course amid the ruins of the Gaza Strip. The proposed “Gaza Greens” aims to transform the war-torn region into what Trump envisions as “the Monaco of the Middle East.”

Standing before a hastily erected golden podium, Trump declared, “They said it couldn’t be done. They said it was a disaster zone. Well, I see opportunity in the rubble. We’re going to build the most luxurious, tremendous golf course Gaza has ever seen. People will come from all over the world to play here.”

Trump outlined his vision: “We’re going to clear the rubble faster than anyone thought possible. Believe me, nobody knows more about construction than I do. We’ll have the best people, the finest sand traps, and water hazards like you’ve never seen—thanks to the Mediterranean, of course.”

Local residents, many of whom are still searching for missing loved ones beneath the debris, expressed a mix of confusion and skepticism. One Gazan, sifting through the remains of his home, remarked, “We need homes, schools, hospitals… and he wants to build a golf course?”

International reactions have been equally perplexed. A spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) stated, “While we appreciate any interest in Gaza’s reconstruction, we urge all parties to prioritize humanitarian needs over leisure activities.”

Despite the criticism, Trump remains optimistic. “This course will create jobs, boost tourism, and put Gaza on the map,” he insisted. “Plus, I’ve already got the perfect spot for the clubhouse—right next to the former UN headquarters. It’s got a great view.”

As plans move forward, questions linger about the feasibility of such a project in a region still grappling with the aftermath of war. Yet, in true Trump fashion, the former president brushed aside concerns, concluding his announcement with, “It’s going to be yuge. Just wait and see.”
